About author:Hu Honglin received his doctoral degree from University of Science and Technology of China. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Siemens in Munich, Germany. Now he is the director of the 1st R&D Department of Shanghai Res earch Center for Wireless Communications, and also an associate professor of the Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He has been engaged in the standardization and the R&D of key wireless communication technologies. He has co- edited 4 English technical books, and is a member of editorial board for 4 international journals.
