About author:Zhang Zhijiang, PhD, is a senior engineer and the general manager of the Technical Department of China Unicom. He had applied for a dozen of patents, among which 10 patents have been granted domestically and internationally and 8 patents are still under granting. He has authored 12 technical books, and published 27 academic papers that were adopted by international standardization organizations. Besides, he has been awarded several prizes and honorable titles, including 17 national or provincial Science and Technology Advancement Awards, candidate of the “National Trans-Century Talents Project” (2006), Outstanding Individual in Technical Innovation (2006, the Ministry of Information Industry) and Guanghua Engineering Technology Award (2008). Since 2005, he has enjoyed special government allowance.
