P2P:Development Situation and Operation Solutions

  • About author:Dong Zhenjiang received his Master s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology. He is Deputy Head of Communication Service and Software R&D Center of ZTE Corporation, and the leader of the Communication Service and Software Group of ZTE Technical Expert Committee. He has been engaged in the development, design and planning ofswitches and Intelligent Networks (INs). His research directions are Service Delivery Platform ( SDP) , P2P, service engine, 3G services and ICT. He participated in and was in charge of a number of technical programs sponsored by the National Development and Reform Committee of China. Besides, he published several articles on value- added services.

    Qi Chen received his Master s degree in photo- electricity and scientific instrument from Zhe Jiang University. He is a chief engineer of the Communication Service and Software R&D Center of ZTE Corporation. He is engaged in the research, development and design of INs and value- added s ervices. His research directions are the IN technology, signaling networks, open service platforms and IMS services. He participated in drafting of national and internationalstandards and protocols many times in the name of ZTE Corporation. The IN platform product that he designed in cooperation with others was awarded the Technical and Science Progress Awards of Shenzhen, Guangdong and Jiangsu.

Abstract: The rapid development of Peer- to - Peer (P2P ) technologies and applications has a great impact on telecom services and operations . Operators should refine the pipeline operation and develop characteristic P2P services . They must comply with the rule of Internet services , and design manageable and operational P2P solutions combining the advantages in network, resource and subscriber, providing users with better P2P service experience . ZTE s manageable and operational P2P solution provides operators with customized authorization and accounting functions . Its development is based on the broadband service management platform widely used in the live networks . ZTE s P2P system is stable and reliable .
